What makes it different

The progression is horizontal as well as vertical. A new form is not simply stronger — it changes which biome is survivable and which fights are worth taking, so the map effectively rewrites itself every time you evolve.

Tips that actually help

• Early on, fight things smaller than you and nothing else. A worm that picks a fair fight is a dead worm, and Evo Points lost to a respawn set you back further than the fight was worth.
• Evolve the moment you can afford it. Holding points for a bigger jump leaves you fighting current-tier enemies with last-tier stats.
• Learn each biome's edge. Wandering into the next biome under-evolved is the most common way runs end.
• Rival players hit harder than wild creatures at the same size. If something your size is moving deliberately rather than wandering, it is a player — disengage unless you are ahead.
• Jump is a movement tool, not an attack. Use it to break away when a fight turns, since most creatures commit to a lunge and cannot correct.
